When the weather in Melbourne starts to turn really cold, I start fantasising about escaping somewhere warmer. This year I’m hoping to get to Paris. If I do, I’ll certainly be paying Germain a visit. It’s a new cafe from the Costes family that have some of Paris’s best known destinations such as Hotel Costes, Georges and Cafe Marly.
Situated in the Latin Quarter the cafe’s most striking feature is a huge yellow sculpture by Xavier Veilhan that breaks through one floor into the next.
