When I think of Bentleigh, my mind drifts to a place of nanacinos, (a small cup of steamed milk), walking frames, and prams, but mostly walking frames. In reality, well, there a lot of walkers and prams, but if your willing to try and dodge them (maybe make a game of it), Centre Rd has a lot going on…ummm….errr…well more that you would think.

Bent Espresso which is just off Centre Rd, on a street called? Anyone…?… anyone…?…. Bent St. Its known pretty well by the locals, and gets especially busy on the weekend, and if its sunny, the seats outside go quick, but, if its sunday, grab your coffee to go and check out the open air market.
Depending on the day and your order, one of the barristas makes some cool coffee art; a nice lady sitting at the window showed me a picture of a coffee with a dragon in the foam on her phone, because the guy who did that wasn’t working today. Coffee art aside, the coffee is good, regardless of who’s standing behind the machine. Best in Bentleigh by far. And that being said, my coffee was pretty damn pretty, even if it wasnt made by the coffee art guy.
breakfast is the most important meal of the morning, so I’d get the Bent breakfast
You could just order a coffee, but breakfast is the most important meal of the morning, so I’d get the Bent breakfast. And you might think Im ordering it for the eggs, or the thick toast, or the bacon, but thats not why I get it, well it is, but really its the mushrooms. Those things are silly good, and when you add them to all those other things, well then, Roberts your mothers brother, as they say. Bent could truly be half as good, and still be the best in Bentleigh, but the tiny cafe consistently puts out coffee that rivals any of the big names in the city with only a fraction of the hipsters. If your in Bentleigh, get bent, or don’t get coffee.
